Basadi Burgled in Bantwal

Bantwal, August 20: On August 19th, Shree Parshwanatha Basadi was burgled. The basadi is located in Kajekaru in Badagakajekaru village in Bantwal.

The crooks have stolen 2 pairs of Brass Gaggara, gante, gold chain set on Padmavathi statue, Basava statue and many more Brass articles. The stolen valuables worth Rs50,000.

This basadi belongs to Rathnakumar family from Kakyapadau in Uli village. The thieves tried to steal gold and silver from the basadi. As the valuables were not kept inside the basadi, thieves fled away with other things.

Even in the past there was an theft attempt but in vain.
When Narayana Belandur came to the Basadi to perform pooja the theft came to light.

The dog squad was brought to the spot .

Bantwal DYSP Rashmi Paraddi, Belthangady circle inspector Lingappa Poojary,  Poonjalakatte station officer Lathan Kumar are carrying on the investigation.
