Mangalore, Aug 07: President of Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Mr. Predeep Kumar Kalkura speaking at a camp said, “Learn the local language is crucial, since the people have to relocate to various places and serve there.”
He was speaking after inaugurating a camp which was organized to teach Kannada language to the faculty at Central Railway Station, Mangalore on Wednesday, Aug 06. The programme was conducted under the joint union of the Dakshina Kannada District Sahitya Parishat and Kannada and Cultural Department.
“Hundred railway authorities are going to learn Kannada language, where there is an intension of conducting 60 classes. To avoid conflicts and carry on a smooth conversation, it is essential to learn the local language,” said Mr Chandrahas Rai, who is the Assistant Director of Kannada and Cultural Department.
Mr. Sri Ranga, a senior official of Corporation Bank stated that they have obtained a 90% result in Kannada coaching camp which was conducted for the Bank officials.
Principal of Badriya Pre-University College, Dr. Ismail, railway area manager Mr P.K. Das, G.K. Bhat Seraje, tutor Mr. Balakrishna Shetty, railway official Mr. Kishan Kumar and others had taken part in the camp.
