Bantwal, Aug 07: The service roads within the town limits are filled with hundreds of large-sized potholes. The narrow and congested road that was difficult for vehicles to drive has now created more problems due to potholes.
A year before, drivers of local auto rickshaws and cars had filled potholes by filling crushed laterite stones in them. During summer, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) did patch work by using bitumen, but due to heavy rains it has peeled off.
As the vehicles are compelled to go dead slow on this road, traffic jams have become routine. The people hope that officials of NHAI will work on providing a solution to the problems.
