Bantwal Aug 04:BJP & Raitha Morcha have jointly protested against the irregular power supply ,the State Govt’s farmer’s opposition act and to meet their various demands in front of MESCOM office at B.C Road on Monday.
The protestors went on a procession from B.C. Road ‘s main road to MESCOM office at Kukkunje and a meeting was held there. The protestors were demanding for 3-phase power supply to be provided for 8 hrs minimum ,irregular power cut must be avoided ,measures have to be taken to replace burnt and worn out transformers by a new one and the farmers pumpsets have to be given power supply soon , illegal pumpset should be legalised and linemans manpower requirement has to be sorted out .Ex-Minister Mr Padmanabha Kotari, state BJP deputy chairman Sulochana Bhat,Bantwal BJP association’s chairman G.Ananda addressed the protestors.
A requisition letter was submitted to the MESCOM officer Umeschandra regarding irregular power supply, illegal power supply from rural feeders to urban feeders etc at Bantwal sector.Zilla Panchayat member Jayashree Pudu, Chennappa Kotian, Bantwal APMC president Nemiraj Rai ,Taluk Panchayat President Yashwant Deraje, member Dinesh Amtur, Anand Shambur,Ramesh Kudmeru ,BJP leaders such as Ramdas Bantwal,Dinesh Bhandary, Manikya Raj Jain Anand Yedthur, Purusha salyan, Devappa Poojary, Chandra Shekar Tailor, Harishchandra poojary were present .
