Mulki, Aug 04: A speeding bike crashed against a milestone on the roadside at Elinje in Mulki Police Station limits on August 3, Sunday. The mishap caused the death of the bike rider while the pillion rider sustained critical injuries.
Maanthesh (22) is the deceased bike rider, he died on the spot as he had sustained grievous head injuries. The pillion rider Basavaraj (19) who was critically injured has been rushed to the hospital.
The accident took place when Maanthesh was riding the bike along with Basavaraj and four other friends who were in two other bikes. They were returning after visiting the Kodyadka Temple.
A case has been registered by the North Traffic police.
