Mangalore, July 30: The Kavoor Police have arrested one person for allegedly using abusive language, threatening and attempting to assault Mangalore City Corporation Corporator Kavitha Sanil.
Sandeep Acharya (24), a resident from Maryhill is the accused arrested.
In a complaint registered at Kavoor Police station, Kavitha Sanil said that when she had gone to Maryhill ward for the inaugural programme of a recently concretized road, Sandeep Acharya picked up a fight with her on non-completion of street light repair work.
During the argument, Sandeep also tried to assault and threatened of dire consequences, sources said.
On the basis of the complaint, the Kavoor Police have arrested Sandeep.
