Sea erosion gets severe at Someshwara-Uchila, residents panic, tides wash away boulders

Ullal, July 18: The sea erosion has got severe and also damaged several houses in the area, people are facing danger due to this. Several coconut trees too have been engulfed by the sea. Already the boulders dumped at several places including Someshwar, Uchila and Kote have been washed away by the giant tidal waves.

Locals complain that the contractors have not been dumping boulders at all places resulting in the problem. It is also alleged that the boulder dumping process has not been scientific. People living along the shoreline are in constant fear of losing their houses due to sea erosion.

Sea erosion has intensified in Mogaveerapatna and the roofing of the house of Gowri Sudhir has been washed away, it was reported that none in the house were harmed.

ZP Chief Satish Kumpala,  Chandrashekar Uchila, Yashwant Amin, Poornachandra, Meenakshi Bangera, Babu Bangera, Hariappa Salian and others visited the spot.
