Mangalore, July 17: A case has been filed against a city-based advocate, A.C. Jayaraj and his fellow associates for submitting counterfeit documents to the Kankanady branch of a bank for collecting insurance money.
The counterfeit documents were allegedly prepared using forged signatures and seals of the city sessions judge.
The bank officials realised that the documents submitted by the advocate bore forged signatures and seals of judges, they brought it to the notice of the court, which ordered that a criminal complaint against the advocate and his associates involved in the forgery.
Based on the complaint lodged by officials of the sessions court, a case has been filed in Bunder police station in this regard, and the police are investigating the matter.
