Mangalore, Jul 14: A 10-year-old girl died after a Fortuner car hit her on Saturday. She was a student of Al-Rahmania School in Ullal on the outskirts of the city.
The deceased has been identified as Fadeeda, daughter of Muhammad Bengre and Zainaba.
The accident took place when she was on her way to the school in the afternoon. It is learnt that a teacher and three other students of her class had called her to the school on Saturday afternoon though there was no class.
A Kerala bound Fortuner car hit the girl while she was crossing road. The grievously injured Fadeeda was rushed to a hospital. But she did not respond to the treatment and breathed her last in the evening.
A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
