Leaders Should Mould More Leaders : Dr. P L Dharma

Mangalore : Leaders who have groomed themselves through various endeavours should reach out to the youth to mould more leaders in the larger interest of the society, opined Chairman of Department of Political Science at Mangalore University, Dr. P L Dharma. He was speaking at the joint installation ceremony of four Toastmasters Clubs in the city recently. The newly elected presidents of Mangalore, ProAct, Inspiron and Milagres Toastmasters Clubs were installed on the occasion.

Exhorting the members of Toastmasters Club which is an international organization dedicated to oratory skills and leadership, Dr. Dharma stressed the need to reach out to college students and teachers to develop their oratory and leadership skills to transform them into effective individuals. There is a need for developing an inclusive society where the leaders take up the responsibility to train people so as to enable them to contribute to the development of the community.

The newly elected presidents of the four clubs included Sachitha Nandagopal from Mangalore Toastmasters Club, Sushil Kumar Gupta from ProAct Toastmasters Club, Akshay Dias of Inspiron Toastmasters Club and Marjoreen Machado of Milagres Toastmasters Club. The new presidents were installed by Area Governor Mamta Shenoy.
