Mangalore: The District BJP president Pratap Simha Nayak, urged the State government to hold meeting on Controversial Yettinhole project in Dakshina Kannada instead of conducting it Bangalore.
He was speaking to the reporters at a press meet held at the party office here on Monday June 16. The successive state government had laid foundation stone for the project during the time of election without the consent of the people.
However, the government has now decided to hold the meeting in Bangalore. They should conduct it here in our district, he emphasized.
He also suggested that the government should consider environmentalists, NGOs, state political leaders and those who are ‘for’ and ‘against’ the project, as well as they must announce the date of the meeting to the public in advance.
District BJP spokesperson Sathish Prabhu, Pushpalatha Gatti, Sharada R Rai and others were present.
