Udupi, Mar 25: A fish pick up van and a fuel tanker clashed face to face on NH 66 near Kaup on March 25 in which a person was killed and another injured.
On Monday night the van was transporting fish from Malpe. Driver Sunil and Amanulla were present in the van and were seriously injured in the mishap. Sunil died on the way while they were taken to the hospital.
It is learnt that the tanker was on full speed and drove on wrong side. Fire brigade rushed to the spot and made sure that there was no accident causing through fuel leak.
A case has been registered in Kaup police station.
