Mangalore, Feb 11: DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanatha Rai directed the officials of Mangalore City Corporation to prepare a action plan to set up a bus stand in the acquired land at Pumpwell.
Speaking at the progress review meeting held at the MCC meeting hall of MCC on February 10, Monday, Rai directed the officials to take up the Bus stand work in the alloted 7.15 acre land, if there is need for additional land, then the the steps to acquire more land must be taken up soon, since there is point in delaying the project.
MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde said that the land for the bus terminus has been enmarked few years back and MCC has already santioned Rs 3 crore for the purpose.
MLA JR Lobo, instructed the project to be implemented in a systematic way.
