Mangalore, Feb 9: After preventing after Pejawar mutt pontiff Visweswara Theertha Swamiji from entering in Ullal area, the police officials have now stopped MP Nalin Kumar Kateel’s entry in the rehion.
It is learnt that MP had directly moved towards Ullal after attending parliamentary session in New Delhi along with MLC Monappa Bhandary and a group of BJP workers without giving any information to the police department in advance.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police and Assistant Commissioner of Police who noticed MP moving towards Ullal stopped him near Thokkottu. This created a heated conversation between police and the BJP men.
Later, MP called City Police Commissioner Hithendra for permission and in turn Commissioner asked him to stay away from Ullal till the prohibitory orders were completely lifted. Finally MP had to return back.
