Mangalore, Jan 8: Senior Congress leader and former mayor K Ashraf has resigned from the primary membership of the party.
Reportedly, the resignation was in protest against Congress party nominating a non-Congressman as DK District Waqf Advisory committee member.
According to the sources, Ashraf was planning to resign from the party from long time, since he was unhappy over the party for sidelining him.
