Udupi; Sept26: Krishi Vidhyanilaya, Bangalore, Samethi (south), Visthrana Nirdeshanalaya, Hebbala and Krishi vijnana Kendra, Brahmavar have jointly organized a workshop on complete disease and insects control in agriculture and horticultural crops in the coastal region.
Dr M Hanumanthappa, regional director, agriculture and horticulture research centre has inaugurated the programme.
Dr Shivalingayya Y N, Convener, Samethi, Bangalore spoke extensively on disease and insects control training in agriculture and horticulture crops. Dr K R Shreenivas,plants preservation expert .V .K Shimoga have delivered a detailed talk on Bordo liquid,tricoderma and other biological importance of usage and production technology and control on disease and insects control in agriculture and horticultural crops.
Dr Jayalaxmi N Hegade,Programme convener, K.V.K Brahmavar have talked about the procedure in controlling diseases and insects in agriculture and horticulture crops.Dr S.U.Patil,asst. professor, an expert in insects spoke comprehensively about the methods for control of diseases and insects.
Dr B Dhananjaya,Asst.professor,Krishi Vijnana Kendra,Brahmavar has explained about the role of local technologies.Dr Shreenivas has explained about the usage of tricoderma.Dr Venkatesh Prasad has conducted assessment of the training.
