Mangalore, Sep 23: Corporation Bank organized Hindi Day function at its Bank’s Corporate Office in Mangalore on 23rd September 2013. The function was presided over by Shri Amar Lal Daultani, Executive Director of the Bank.
In his address, Shri Amar Lal Daultani, the Bank underlined the importance of observing Hindi Day and exhorted all the staff members to do their official work in Hindi. Quoting the message of Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, he said that instructions regarding Official Language should be followed with same firmness as any other Government instructions.
Addressing the audience, Shri Bibhas Kumar Srivastav, Executive Director enumerated the achievements of the Bank in the field of Official Language implementation and said that the Ministry of Finance has appreciated the progress made by the Bank in the field of Official Language implementation.
Daultani and Srivastav distributed the prizes to the winners of the various competitions organized by the Bank as a part of Hindi Day Celebrations and also to the winners of the various Hindi incentive schemes.
General Manager, Shri P.S. Baliga, General Manager welcomed the gathering.Dr. J. P. Nautiyal, Assistant General Manager of the Bank proposed a vote of thanks.
A Kavi Sammelan was also organized in various Indian Languages. Executive Directors of the Bank A.L. Daultani & Shri B.K. Srivastav rendered poetry in Hindi while General Managers, C. G. Pinto (Kannada), P.S. Baliga (Konkani), K. G. Subramanian (Tamil), Laxminatha Reddy (Telugu) and Deepak Charlie, Chief Manager in (Malayalam) presented poems in various Indian languages. A Cultural Programme was also organized by the staff members of the Bank on the occasion.
