Mangalore, Sep 15, 2013:Dr .K Mohandas, The Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Health Sciences, said that the nation can attain excellent progress in the field of medical research merely by the interest shown by the young medicos while pursuing their profession.
He delivered the Convocation Address at the third Convocation of NITTE University held at the KS Hegde Auditorium at Derlakatte on September 14, Saturday. He requested the universities to encouragestudents to take up research and further said that the doctors have tedious responsibility to look after the health of people and also the society.
The medical graduates were awarded degrees by Mr. N Vinay Hegde . And gave an inspiring speech to the students.
A total of 375 graduates in various medical disciplines received their degrees on the occasion.
Dr M Shantharam Shetty, Dean of Nitte University, Dr Alka Kulkarni, Registrar (Evaluation), Dr HV Sudhaker Nayak, Registrar, Rajashekhar, Staff Development Programme Director and others were present.
