Ullal,sep.12 : Congress supported candidate Mr. Girija Ba unopposed ,elected as president in the Ullal Municipality election held on Wednesday. Ms. Raziya is elected as vice president against Saritha Jeevan of BJP.
Only seven BJP members supported Saritha, while 17 members of congress supported Raziya. Independent candidates U.H Faruk and Sundar Uliya remain neutral.
After the election health minister U.T. Kadhar visited Ullal Municipality and congratulated the candidates. In that occasion he said that he is trying to give every facility to Ullal Municipality by the state government, thus all the support is required by elected members.
Electoral officer tahasildhar of Mangalore Mr. Mohan Rao and rector Chethan S Kalavi were present.
