Kundapur: St Marry’s school celebrates Indian sports Day

Kundapur; August 29: Addressing the gathering Rajesh Kaveri, president Kundapur Volleyball club and member of Kundapur town municipality said in his speech that it is highly deplorable and unfortunate to note that though the Government has passed an ordinance to celebrate August 29, as the national sports day, we have not observed any changes neither from education field nor from sports fields.

Participating in the National sports day celebration organized by Kundapur Holy Rosary church educational institute, Kundapur Friends Volley ball club, Rotary club Koteshwara, Beauty Queen Kundapura in St Marry’s school premises, he spoke.

He further said that we have to apply brake for the mentality of only numerical figure based education system and one must understand that there is a future in sports also and hence there is a need of proper training is required, he added.

On the occasions winning students in different levels have been felicitated and honoured.Anil D’Souza, chief administrator of the Sangha has presided over the function.Prabhakar B Kumbhashi, President of Koteshwara, rotary club, owner of beauty queen Hussain Hykadi were present.
