Mangaluru, June 17: The district level ‘Maha Samparak Abhiyan’- the second phase of the BJP membership drive was inaugurated by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel at the BJP office here on Wednesday, June 17th.
Initially, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel along with BJP leaders visited the residence of entrepreneur Dheeraj Amin in Shivabhagh, Kadri here and gave him the BJP membership form. Dheeraj Amin filled the form and officially became the member of the party.
Next, the party leaders visited the residence of former CREDAI president Pushparaj Jain at Nanthoor. Jain also filled the form and became a member. Later, Pushparaj Jain felicitated MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.
MP Nalin addressing the media said, BJP is the number one party in India with the highest number of supporters. During the Maha Sampark Abhiyan which has begun now, we will visit the houses of those who had given missed calls to become BJP members. We will explain them about the aim and objectives of our party and also the achievements done so far by the Modi-led government. Officially we will turn them into our party members.
From today onwards, BJP party workers will be sitting in all the booths. Those who had given missed calls can visit their respective booths, fill up the forms and officially become the members of BJP. Already, 2.5 lakh people in the district have given missed calls. It is our duty to turn those people into our party workers.
Former Minister Krishna J Palemar, Monappa Bhandary- in-charge of ‘Maha Samparak Abhiyan’, Yogish Bhat, Sulochana Bhat, Nagaraj Shetty, Ravi Shankar Mijar, Gopal Krishna, Sudharshan, Sudhir Shetty and others were also present on this occasion.
