Mangaluru, June 12: A pedestrian who was injured in a bike accident has expired on Thursday, June 11th.
The deceased is John Monteiro (59) from St Joseph’s Nagar.
On Wednesday, June 10th at around 9.30 pm, John Monteiro after buying necessary things for his house was on his way back home. Meanwhile, a speeding bike dashed to him at Nandigudda circle. He was injured on his head and was rushed to hospital. But he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday in the hospital failing to respond to the treatments.
The biker responsible for the accident escaped from the spot without stopping his bike.
John Montero had been working as an attender at Milagres institution in city for the past 30 years.
The deceased has left behind wife, son and a daughter.
A case has been registered by traffic police (East).
