Mangaluru, June 11: World yoga day, is organized not alone by Indian government but also by United Nations. Ram sene supports world yoga day. Yoga is not related to any religion or caste, said Pramod Muthalik, the chief of Sri Ram Sene.
Pramod Muthalik had arrived to Mangaluru on Thursday, June 11th to attend court hearing at JMFC 2 court related to the pub attack which took place in 2009. Only 13 attended the hearing out of the 30 persons charged. The court adjourned the proceedings to July 29th.
Pramod Muthalik spoke after attending the court and said, the Indian government , has removed Omkara and Suryanamaskara from World yoga day just because the Muslim community opposed it, this move is not right. The central government committed has done a foolish act by removing Omkara and Suryanamaskara, he said.
I strongly oppose this move. Yoga should not be viewed on the basis of religion, but it should be seen in terms of health benefits, Muthalik said.
He strongly criticized the state government for withdrawing cases against PFI and KFD activists. Kerala chief minister Oommen chandy has written a letter to the union government seeking ban on PFI and KFD terming them as Simi organisations. Public interest litigation will be filed regarding the withdrawal of these cases, warned Muthalik.
