Mangaluru, May 20: “Vasanthotsava”, a spring festival will be hosted by Pilikula on May 24th from 10am to 5pm.
Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim who spoke to the reporters after participating in the meeting organized to discuss about the preparations being made for the event said, the Vasanthotsava aims at attracting the present day youth towards nature. We need to reconnect them with nature, he said.
People neglect the fruits grown in their backyard and wish to buy costly fruits sold in malls, which is regrettable, he said.
As part of Vasanthotsava, an exhibition and sale of various varieties of fruits along with traditional dishes are organized, he informed.
Executive Director of Pilikula Nisargadhama, A Prabhakar Sharma was present along with others on this occasion.
