Mangaluru, January 3: Newly married couple hailing from different communities have sought protection from the police to protect them from their family members.
Kiran Rai from Mangala Nagar and Namitha Pais from Kotekar belonging to different communities had an affair from few years.
Since there was resistance from both the families, the couple tied the nuptial knot on December 27th, 2014 at Arya Samaj as per Hindu wedding rituals; a day after the parents of them lodged missing complaint with the cops.
On Friday, January 2nd, the missing couple surprisingly visited Ullal police station to seek the protection from the society as well as their families and also produced necessary documents to identify that they are matured and married.
