Mangaluru, December 11: The cops have raided the sand mining zone on the banks of river Nethravathy, at Vulachil in the outskirts of the city, led by the Thasildhar.
Based on credible information, the sand mining zone was raided before sun rise at 4 am on Friday, December 12th.
Cops have arrested six labourer’s, seized the collected huge heaps of sand in the banks of river, LPG cylinders,and the equipment’s used for mining along with 26 boats.
The raid was conducted under the strict security of Pramod P, Kankanady SHO and other police personnel’s. Additional police security has been deployed in the spot and the raid operation is in progress.
