Nashik: Five doctors killed, one injured in road accident

337558-road-accidentsFive doctors were killed and another injured, when a car they were travelling in collided with an unidentified vehicle at Kokangaon roundabout, police said on Monday.

“The mishap occurred late last night on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway, about 30 km from here when the six doctors were returning to Pimpalgaon-Baswant from Nashik after attending a programme,” Ojhar police station in-charge PN Medhe said.

“The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Tiwari (45), Pratap Shelke (47) Chandrashekhar Gangurde (47), Kundan Jadhav (38) and Suraj Patil (39), all hailing from Pimpalgaon-Basawant,” Medhe added.

“The injured Umesh Bhosale has been admitted to a private hospital here,” the officer said.

“A search has been launched to trace the unidentified vehicle,” police said.
