Hyderabad: A 36-year-old woman allegedly mutilated her husband’s genital when he started abusing her in an inebriated condition. Police said the woman, B. Anasuya, allegedly tried to cut off her husband’s genital using a knife. But he escaped before it could be completely cut off.
The husband, B. Satish was rushed to Osmania General Hospital. Asif Nagar police said the couple had been constantly quarreling suspecting each others fidelity since many months. Police said the incident occurred on Saturday but it came to light on Monday. “On Saturday, he came home drunk and started a quarrel with his wife. It turned ugly as Anasuya allegedly took a sickle and tried to cut off his genital,” said inspector K. Srikant.
Satish escaped but started bleeding heavily. No one took him to hospital for one and a half days. He was too drunk to go by himself. Later, on Monday his relatives took him to OGH. Doctors said that his genital’s upper skin had been peeled off but his condition is stable.
Police said they will book a case after taking a statement from the victim.
