The first snapshot of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol together in Rohit Shetty’s much-hyped Dilwale started doing the rounds even as the film’s just-confirmed release date became a trending topic on Twitter on Wednesday.
Dilwale has been confirmed for release on December 18. At the last count, #DilwaleMagic On18thDecember was one of the two trending Bollywood topics on Twitter on Wednesday along with #BBTrailerTomorrow, which announced the release of the trailer of Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan trailer a day later.
The snapshot of Dilwale that has been released shows SRK and Kajol sharing a mushy moment that is very much reminiscent of their glory days as an on-screen romantic couple in films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Karan Arjun and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Director Shetty is obviously trying to recreate a bit of the magic that made SRK and Kajol one of Bollywood’s greatest romantic pairs ever.
The two stars are seen casually turned out in the picture, and going by the camaraderie visible, fans are bound to enjoy the hallmark sizzling chemistry once more.
Dilwale marks SRK’s return with Shetty for the first time after 2013’s Chennai Express, a comedy blockbuster that won wide acclaim for its heroine Deepika Padukone.
This time, apart from bringing back Kajol as his co-star, Dilwale casts SRK along with NewGen stars Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. The film is being billed as an action comedy and a trademark Rohit Shetty extravaganza. Dilwale is currently being shot in Bulgaria after Rohit Shetty canned some sequences in Mumbai and Goa.
The film has created sufficient buzz owing to its huge cast headed by Shah Rukh and Kajol. Apart from the lead actors, Shetty has assorted an interesting ensemble cast of Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani, Kabir Bedi, Sanjay Mishra and Varun Sharma.
