Weekends are the best time for any movie producer. People are relaxed and throng the movie theatres to get their weekly fix of entertainment. Weekend box office collections are very important for any movie and Darshan’s Ambareesha has managed to hit the jackpot.
After collecting a staggering 10 crores at the box office in just three days, the movie has registered a strong collection on Day 4, Sunday. Ambareesha managed to add another 3 crores to its kitty, taking the total collection beyond 13 crores in just 4 days. The movie is going strong in almost all theatres. The theatre owners are reporting houseful screening for prime time shows on a daily basis.
After registering a strong weekend, the movie is at a comfortable distance from the 20 crore mark. The coming weekend will be tricky for the movie. There is a new release, Love In Madya and Dr. Rajkumar memorial inauguration will be held on Saturday.
The focus may get shifted on the event due to the presence of superstars such as Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth. However, the other centres in Karnataka is likely to be unaffected by the events in Bangalore. The movie made at the cost of approximately 18 crores has managed to get 21 crores in Satellite rights and distribution rights.
